Designed with your safety in mind, Leviton's 15A & 20A side wired commercial spec grade tamper-resistant receptacles meet or exceed all existing codes and standards. In commercial facilities, NEC requirements may mandate the use of tamper-resistant receptacles. In order to provide more options to our customers, we have expanded our receptacle offering to include tamper-resistant side wired receptacles. A mechanical shutter mechanism is in place to prevent access to contacts unless a two-pronged plug is inserted, ensuring foreign objects will be locked out.

Additionally, our core devices have been redesigned to enhance the overall performance of our full line of receptacles. These changes have been made with the goal of offering not just more choices, but smarter choices to our customers. The receptacles are ultrasonically welded for added assembly security and the body and face are constructed from high impact thermoplastic for durability. Convenient break-off plaster ears allow for the best flush alignment, and a self-grounding clip that is staked on will never fall off.
